Valley of the Snow Japanese White Pine
White and pink are two colors one would never expect in a pine, but this selection produces candles with a cream-pink cast in spring, and the new growth can appear almost pure white against the tree’s older gray-green foliage. Colors are most prominent at the top of the plant, where it is growing quickly, but can be seen throughout. Grows as much as 6 inches a year in a well established, sheltered location. Also incorrectly listed as ‘Tani mano uki.’
